About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager / Chief of Staff to join our start-up. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the executive’s goals, priorities, internal and external operational tasks, and special strategic projects as needed. You will help determine what work is most important for business development and moving the business forward. You will serve as a sounding board for the CEO, owning the task of keeping the executive aligned to the goals he or she set forth to push the business forward. You will manage the day-to-day schedule and obligations of the executive team, ensuring the executive team have the ability to get to all their priorities for the day and is maximizing their time for the best possible use. You will establish standards and procedures for hiring and managing the office staff and personnel for the CEO. You will report to the CEO.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day schedule and obligations of the executive team, ensuring said executive has the ability to get to all their priorities for the day and is maximizing their time for the best possible use
- Manage expense approval process for the executive team.
- Serve as a sounding board for the CEO, owning the task of keeping the executive aligned to the goals he or she set forth to push the business forward.
- Spearhead strategy development, projects and market research where required.
- Manage the development of investor relations and oversee collation and review of board materials
- Establish standards and procedures for hiring and managing the office staff and personnel for the CEO
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
- Manage the recruitment and selection process
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
- Manage and report on HR compliance activities such as mandatory learning
- Nurture a positive working environment
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
- Maintain pay plan and benefits program
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
- Report to the CEO
Skills & Requirements:
- 10+ years of total years of experience, in key tactical roles in CEO office or HR department
- Demonstrable working experience as a Chief of Staff or similar role offering direct support to CEO / top leadership of a company
- Demonstrable experience with business metrics
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian labour law and HR best practices
- In-depth knowledge of business operations and procedures
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving business growth through partnerships.
- Strong understanding of the SME ecosystem, distribution networks, and government regulations.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- People oriented and results driven
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Full professional fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English
