• About the Role:

As a Head Chef, youll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, staff management, and administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• Creating, planning, and updating menus that align with the restaurants concept, seasonal availability of ingredients, and customer preferences.
• Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking in the kitchen. Ensure that dishes are prepared to high standards of taste, quality, and consistency, while also adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Oversee kitchen operations, including staff scheduling, workflow coordination, and equipment maintenance.
• Analyse food costs, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency without compromising quality.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff, management, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Complete a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a related qualification
• Minimum 3 years experiences as a Head Chef
• Demonstrate leadership skills, highly organised and detail-oriented to manage kitchen operations efficiently.
• Have good communication skills and attitude, familiar with teamwork.

• A valid English language certification, such as the IELTS, with no component below 5.0 and an overall score of at least 5.5 is required.
• You may need to successfully complete a skill assessment administered by the relevant Australian skill assessing authorities (TRA or VETASSESS), depending on the location of your placement or your passport.
