We are an innovative and fast-growing non-bank lending company, dedicated to providing financing to micro and small business owners. As part of our expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Risk Strategy and Analytics Specialist to join our risk management team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in policy development, risk analytics, data-driven decision-making, and an understanding of the unique challenges facing the micro and small business lending sector. As the Risk Strategy and Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing risk management strategies, leveraging advanced analytics tools, and staying current with industry trends and emerging risks.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain risk management strategies, policies, and processes tailored to the micro and small business lending segment, ensuring their relevance and effectiveness in the local market and also gathering and taking into account feedback from stakeholders, in order to continually improve the effectiveness of the framework

Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques, such as Python, SAS, or other relevant software, to support data-driven decision-making and optimize risk assessment processes.

Collaborate with the Head of Risk Management, Credit Underwriting Manager, Collection Manager, and other cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to risk management across the organization.

Stay current on industry best practices, emerging risks, regulatory changes, and competitor intelligence, proactively identifying potential impacts on the business and adjusting risk management practices accordingly.

Evaluate, integrate, and maintain third-party data sources and risk analysis services to enhance the effectiveness of risk policies and rules, while negotiating competitive commercial terms to ensure cost-effective risk management.

Produce a regular risk maturity assessment to facilitate an understanding of the risk culture and the gaps that need to be addressed to improve risk maturity

Support HQ risk teams in the development of risk management strategies and best practices, ensuring their relevance and effectiveness in the local market.

Create and maintain risk reports for monitoring purposes and to meet regulatory requirements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to relevant stakeholders.

Good numerical skills and ability to identify, analyses, interpret and present complex information effectively, to comment on its significance, and to develop proposals for action

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering. Advanced degrees are preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in risk analytics, strategy development, or a related role in financial services.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and reporting. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Proficient in risk analytics tools such as Python, SAS or similar.

Experience of planning and organizing complex activities, and delivering to time, quality and resource requirements

Experience of supporting and influencing senior managers, and building successful relationships and networks at all levels

Proficient in Bahasa and English, both written and spoken.

High ethical standards and professional conduct, with a strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and execution.
