Tech Lead

We are looking for a talented and experienced Tech Lead to join our team at Moladin Financial Services. Tech Lead is responsible for leading a squad, which is a group of engineers that focus on a particular business domain. As the leader, you are responsible for the squad’s product & engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Be a hands-on leader in a squad consisting of software engineers who focus on a particular business domain.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Quality Team, and Technical Program Manager to ensure the domain’s product initiatives can be achieved.
• Design and implement highly scalable, highly available solutions.
• Contribute to day-to-day engineering excellence and ensure critical issues are resolved according to the given SLA.
• Apply engineering best practices to the team and set a high bar to improve existing systems and processes.
• Mentor engineers by having regular sharing sessions, creating learning modules, and onboarding new joiners.
• Propose ideas and contribute to the engineering initiatives as part of the effort to improve the system performance, quality, and availability.
• Create documentation on complex initiatives and be responsible for the execution of deliverables.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in the software development industry.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Tech Lead in a tech startup.
• Extensive experience working with Agile methodologies (i.e: Scrum & Kanban) and familiar with Project Management tools such as JIRA.
• Experience in designing & building production-grade applications or services from scratch.
• Expertise in Javascript (ReactJs & NodeJs) and Go programming language.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
• Deep knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL.
• Familiar with asynchronous processing and event-driven architecture using Kafka.

• Prior experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
