Sales Manager & Business Development.

Introduction
Nazava Water Filters is a fast growing social enterprise headquartered in Bandung, Indonesia. With our award winning water filters, we solve one of the biggest global challenges of our time; providing households worldwide with access to safe drinking water. In 2021 we became an international company with the opening of our subsidiary company in Kenya. We are also a strong player in the humanitarian market; our filters have been deployed in disaster response efforts in Indonesia, the Philippines, Nepal, Mozambique, and we have provided 40,000 filters to war victims in Ukraine.

We have a diverse coalition of government, NGO, and private sector partners in Indonesia. Additionally, a growing part of our business involves exports beyond our home markets of Indonesia and Kenya. Given the innovative applications of our product in disaster resilience and response, this often means sales to our international relief partners. However, we would also like to increase retail sales to markets to other Southeast Asian and East African countries. Many offices of our current and potential partners are in Jakarta and many conferences happen there. Thus we are seeking a Jakarta-based Partnership and Export Executive to help develop our network both in Indonesia and abroad.

Task include

  • Maintain / develop relations with current and past clients
  • Frequently visit existing and prospective clients
  • Identify and build solid relationships with new clients
  • Frequently Attend conferences and networking events
  • Join Digital Marketing meetings to brainstorm new content
  • Help develop new marketing strategies to reach international clients
  • Help creating and improving online and offline content
  • Assis in develop our export sales channel by identifying new markets for - exports and developing new business accounts
  • Make quotes for client purchase
  • Sales reporting and keeping track of sales data in CRM
  • Attending domestic and international trade shows
  • Analyze the current sales performance
  • Develop and implement plans to improve sales
  • hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Managing recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives and team leaders
  • Help Establish sales performance management tools and procedures (e.g., sales performance dashboards; automate performance tracking)
  • Work Marketing staff to upgrade and update sales "toolkit" (, staff and channel incentives, marketing stories and persuasive selling "playbooks")
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team

Skills needed

  • Background in sales and marketing or business development
  • Bachelors in sales & marketing, or other relevant fields.
  • At least four years relevant work experience.
  • Flexible and ready to meet clients demands.

Attend meetings and respond to client requests with little or no notice.
- Excellent verbal & written communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
- Fluent in Indonesian & English.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Experience working with international organizations is a big plus.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Background in sales and marketing or business development
  • Bachelors in sales & marketing, international relations, or other relevant fields. At least two years relevant work experience.

Good fit status (at least 2 from below )

  • Experience in WASH (water sanitation and hygiene)
  • Experience in partnerships with governments namely PUPR, Kemendikbud or Kesehatan
  • Experience in partnerships with NGOs. (not necessarily working in an NGO as this might just make them spoiled).
  • UI, ITB UGM or foreign university graduate
  • >500 connections on Linkedin.
  • Domicile Jakarta or willing to relocate to Jakarta
  • Proficient in English
