As an Account Manager for Process Automation business, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, managing local mining account strategy, focused on ABB mining’s share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Coordinating sales activities, monitor current projects and manage resolution of specific customer. Reporting to Sales Manager Mining SEA, you will be building long term customer relationships and managing resolution to specific customer needs and issues. Identifying and developing sales opportunities. This position is either based in Jakarta, Indonesia or Subang Jaya, Malaysia.

Your responsibilities
  • Selling electrification & automation systems & services within mining & mineral processing accounts, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for business line
  • Account player mapping, establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promoting customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution
  • Preparing sales plans using company tools. Performing regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls
  • Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers
  • Identifying and driving the development of new sales opportunities in the designated accounts and ensures know- how sharing and cross-collaboration
  • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports collection and project management activities when needed
  • Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions
Your background
  • Bachelor’s electrical/control and instrumentation engineering
  • 5 years of experience in electrification & automation system sales (preferable in mining & minerals industries) with strong account management
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
